Dear Friends of Choral Music,
As we begin the new year, I would like to extend, on behalf of our First Vice President Wang Qin, the entire INTERKULTUR team, and myself, my heartfelt wishes for a happy, healthy, and successful 2025.
We look back with deep gratitude on a remarkable year, 2024—a year filled with unforgettable encounters, outstanding musical achievements, and a unique sense of community that celebrates choral music as a unifying force across all boundaries. We are proud to be part of the global choral community, which, with every voice, contributes to greater harmony and peace in our world.
However, we are all keenly aware of the growing uncertainties in the world around us. Political conflicts, economic challenges, and societal changes affect us all—both personally and as an organization. We, too, feel the impact of these developments. Yet, we remain confident in the future and are certain that 2025 will be a pivotal year for us.
In these turbulent times, the importance of our mission becomes even more evident: choral music is more than just singing together. It is a symbol of hope, unity, and peace. The power of music to bring people together, regardless of their origins, in harmony and understanding, remains our guiding principle as we navigate toward a hopeful future.
With this optimism, we now look forward to the new year. We are excited to achieve new milestones with you—whether at competitions, festivals, or spontaneous encounters that build bridges and strengthen friendships.
We would especially like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all choirs, conductors, jury members, partners, and supporters who made the past year so successful and extraordinary. None of this would have been possible without you!
